For AI drama, films and series — portrait or landscape, one short season or a feature — and for anyone ambitious enough to run it as a studio business rather than a channel.

Your site comes with your own player at your own address, for wherever your viewers are: an Instagram bio, a WhatsApp chat, a DM, your email. They watch and pay you right there. How the player works

An address of your own is what turns a channel into a studio. Print it on a poster, put it on a pitch deck, send it to a festival. The viewer who pays there is yours — not one recommendation away from somebody else's show.

You get yourname.generatedworlds.com the minute you start. Buy yourstudio.com at any registrar for about $10–$20 a year — it is yours, not ours — and connect it with one DNS record on any plan, certificate handled.

64 looks. None of them a blank page.

Every one is a finished design for a studio — not a grid you have to fill. Choose one and it opens already loaded with your own series, your own stills, your own name. Change it whenever you like; nothing is rebuilt.

Your series deserve more than a profile page. They deserve a home. Meet the Studio Site Builder on Generated Worlds. Your own studio website, where viewers watch and buy your episodes. Start with a template. There are fifty-five, and every preview is your own work, not stock photos. What you see is exactly what your viewers get. Then make it yours. Pick a palette and the whole site repaints instantly. Click any section to change the words, or switch it off. Your site fills itself in: an About section, what's coming next, a newsletter signup, and a contact form that lands in your studio inbox. It gets its own address the moment you publish. Or connect a domain you already own. When the free episodes run out, viewers unlock the next one right on your site. Payment and checkout are handled for you. Every sale shows up in your studio as it happens. You keep eighty percent of what viewers pay after card fees, paid out through Stripe once you pass twenty-five dollars. Your look, your address, your sales. Launch your studio on Generated Worlds.

    Launch on Starter

Your studio site goes live on your address, or on your own domain: $39 a month on Starter. Cancel whenever you like.

Built in, not bolted on

Everything a studio needs to run on its own address, in one product — instead of a website builder, a video host and a payment tool that do not know about each other.

A site that opens on your work

The first screen plays episode one. Portrait or landscape, every frame is shown whole — nothing is cropped to fit the template.

Payments, built in

Your first episodes stay free; viewers unlock the rest at $0.10 each, paying on the page itself. No store to set up, no checkout to build, no card details for you to hold.

Your own domain

Live at yourname.generatedworlds.com from the first minute. Buy yourstudio.com anywhere and connect it with one DNS record.

A brand inbox

A contact page for brand deals, licensing and collaborations that lands in your Contact center — or straight in your email.

A newsletter

Visitors join your list from any page, so a new episode or premiere reaches them without an algorithm in the way.

The money, plainly

Publishing on Generated Worlds is free, and you see your site before you pay. Launching the site is what costs.

80%

Stays with you

Of net revenue, on every plan — 8¢ of every 10¢ episode. Paid out through Stripe Connect from $25.

The plan never takes a share of what viewers spend, and we only take ours when a viewer actually pays — so a quiet month costs you the plan and nothing else.

Pricing

Publishing is free on the Creator plan. Your own studio site starts at $39 a month. The money is the same on every plan — 80% of net episode revenue after processing is allocated to you, and a plan never takes a cut of that.

The same money as a store platform — Shopify starts at $39 too — except the player and the per-episode checkout are already in it.

What it costs, four ways

You do not need us to put a series online — you can build it, or rent it from somebody else. So here is the same month priced every way, line by line, with nothing rolled up. Fifty hours of finished drama online and 10,000 minutes watched this month — a studio in its first year.

Plan prices from each company's own pricing page, checked 20 September 2026. Infrastructure at Vercel, Neon and Cloudflare Stream list prices. Redo it with your own numbers — that is what it is for.

Left for you to buildThe player, the paywall, viewer accounts, payouts and subtitlesNothing — but it is built around subscriptionsNothingNothing

What it costs to run, before a single viewer pays. Every option here also takes something when they do — ours is 20% of net revenue, and nothing in a month with no sales — but that moves with what you sell, so it is not a fixed cost and it is not in this table.

Ten dollars is not a reason to choose anything. We come out lowest here and only just, and a page that made more of that than it is worth would deserve to be checked. The self-build column is the one worth staring at: its range is wide because it is four bills that each have a cheap tier and an expensive one, and none of them is the site.

The row that matters is the last one. Three of those columns have nothing left to build. The first has a player, a paywall, viewer accounts, payouts and subtitles left to build, and then maintained for as long as the site is up — and that, not the ten dollars, is what the monthly figure is hiding.

Where the video lines come from

  • Store 1,000 minutes of video: $5/month
  • Deliver 1,000 watched minutes: $1
  • Encoding and bandwidth included

And as the audience grows

The bill that moves is delivery — a video host charges by the minute watched, so the self-build column grows with the audience while a plan steps up in three places.

Audience in a monthMinutes watchedVideo cost, your own siteTotal, your own siteOn Generated Worlds
1,000 viewers × 10 minutes10,000$10$45–$90Starter, $39 — covers 10,000 minutes
2,500 viewers × 20 minutes50,000$50$85–$130Growth, $99 — covers 50,000 minutes
10,000 viewers × 20 minutes200,000$200$235–$280Scale, $499 — covers 250,000 minutes
50,000 viewers × 30 minutes1,500,000$1,500$1,535–$1,580Established, by contract — from $2,500

Through Growth, raw infrastructure and a plan here cost about the same, and we are not going to pretend otherwise: what differs is that the wallet, the paywall, the checkout and the payouts come with the plan. At Scale the plan costs more than the raw video bill; it adds 20 new series a month and newsletters to 100,000 subscribers. At the bottom row, Established is priced by contract for studios running several brands and sites, with a dedicated contact.

And who each one is actually for

Price is the least interesting column here. Six other ways to put a series behind a payment, and the two things that actually decide it: whether the player and the per-episode paywall are in the product or bought on the side. Three of these are better than us at something, and the last column says at what.

Each company's own pricing page, checked 20 September 2026. Prices change — check before you decide.

What stops it is selling, not serving

An episode costs a viewer 10¢. Put that through your own Stripe account and the card fee is 30¢ — you are twenty cents down on every sale. Selling episode by episode is therefore not a page you build; it needs a wallet people top up, which is a payments product with compliance attached.

That is what $39 a month buys: not server space, but everything that turns watching into money, already built and already handling other studios' payments today.

  • The wallet, the paywall and the checkout — the reason an episode can cost 10¢ at all
  • Payouts to you through Stripe Connect, from $25
  • The player, and the encoding and subtitles behind it
  • Connecting the domain you bought, and its certificate
  • The contact page brands write to, and your newsletter
  • Somebody keeping all of it running

Questions

How do I create my own streaming site?

Sign up and upload your drama: it is published free on Generated Worlds straight away. Then open your studio site, which is already built from the series you published, and see it in any of the templates: pick a look, click any part of the page to change the words, and launch. There is nothing to upload twice. Launching on Starter is $39 a month.

What does a studio site cost?

Publishing on Generated Worlds is free on the Creator plan, 1 new series a month. Your own studio site is what a plan buys: Starter is $39 a month, and also opens 3 new series a month. Growth is $99 and Scale $499 a month; Established, for studios with several brands and sites, is by contract from $2,500. A plan never takes a share of what viewers spend: on every plan, including the free one, Generated Worlds keeps 20% of net revenue when a viewer pays.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on every plan. Buy a domain at any registrar — about $10–$20 a year — add the one DNS record the Domain tab shows, and your site answers on it with its certificate handled. Until then it lives at yourname.generatedworlds.com.

What happens if I don't choose a plan?

You keep publishing free on Generated Worlds on the Creator plan: 1 new series a month, with your series pages and links working as before. Your studio site stays private — only you can open it — until you launch it, and nothing is charged. Viewers who tap your studio name on the Generated Worlds player can press "Request to go live", and you see how many asked. If a paid plan ends, the series it started leave search and the feed and are deleted after 60 days unless a plan comes back; series from your free allowance are never touched.

What do the plans differ by?

New series a month, features and the minutes watched on your site. The free Creator plan starts 1 new series a month, with no site. Starter adds your own studio site and 3 new series a month. Growth starts 10 a month and adds newsletter sending, site analytics and removing the Generated Worlds credit. Scale starts 20 a month, sends to up to 100,000 subscribers. Established is by contract, for several brands and sites, with a dedicated contact. If your site outgrows its minutes, viewers keep watching — you are asked to move up.

Is it cheaper than building my own site?

At the start they are close: a small streaming site costs $35–$80 a month to run before anybody watches, and Starter is $39. Two things differ. You are not buying server space — the wallet, the paywall, the checkout and the payouts come with it, and those are the parts you cannot buy off a shelf. And on your own site a video host charges about a dollar per thousand watched minutes on top; here the minutes come with the plan.

How do I get paid?

80% of net revenue from every episode viewers unlock is allocated to you, on every plan including the free Creator plan. It is paid out through Stripe Connect once your balance reaches $25. You connect Stripe to receive payouts; you never build a checkout.

How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?

Those are general website builders; you would add a video host and a way to charge per episode, each with its own bill. A Generated Worlds studio is built for serialized video, so the site, the player and per-episode payments are one product.

Is this Shopify for AI filmmakers?

That is the idea: one product that runs the business on your own domain, and it starts at the same money — Shopify from $39 a month, and so do we. What differs is what it sells. Selling a series on Shopify means adding a video player and a paywall from its App Store, each priced on its own; here the player, the free opening episodes and the per-episode checkout are the product. If you sell physical merch, Shopify is still the best store; link to it from your site.

How does it compare with Uscreen or Vimeo OTT?

Those run subscription video with your own TV apps, from $49 a month plus a share of sales on Uscreen and $1 per subscriber on Vimeo OTT. A studio site sells episode by episode after free ones, with no TV apps. If your audience already pays monthly and wants a Roku channel, they are the better fit.

Should I use this instead of Patreon?

Patreon sells a monthly membership on patreon.com and keeps 10% plus processing. A studio site sells the next episode on your own domain, and we keep 20% of net revenue. Many creators use both: Patreon for their closest supporters, the studio site for the series.

Can it replace my Linktree?

If your bio link mostly points at one series, yes: the first tap plays the episode instead of showing a list, and the site still links to your other profiles.

Who can open a studio?

Independent creators and studios making original video with AI. There is no follower minimum and nothing to apply for: sign up, upload your drama and it is published. Content rules are enforced through viewer reports and rights complaints, and a studio that breaks them can be suspended.

Do I need to know how to code?

No, and there is nothing to install. You pick a finished template, click any part of the page to change the words, and tap any picture to swap it — including taking a frame out of one of your own episodes at the second you choose. There are no theme files, no deployment and no hosting account to open.

How long does it take to set up?

Minutes to have something real on screen, because the site is built from the series you have already published rather than from an empty page — your series, your stills and your studio name are in the template before you change anything. Making it properly yours is an afternoon at the outside.

Do viewers need an account to watch?

Not to start. Your opening episodes play to a stranger with no sign-up at all, and somebody who wants the next one can pay for it on the page without making an account first — the account, if there is to be one, is created after the payment clears. Nothing asks a viewer to register before they have seen anything.

Can I leave, and do I keep my work?

Yes. The domain is bought in your name at a registrar and stays yours, so it can point anywhere you like later. Your episodes remain yours and the owner of a studio can download their own masters. Cancelling a plan makes the site private rather than deleting it, and it comes back as it was if you start one again.
